I think Khan's vision of personalized learning is fantastic! He believes that personalized learning can allow students to go at their own pace and pursue their interests so they will want to get more out of their education and they will have a further desire to continue learning their entire lives. I think it is a wonderful vision, although I can imagine some difficulties in making this vision happen. I think on smaller scales, like the Khan Lab School, it works great, but in a much larger setting where the teachers cannot monitor students and their progress as easily, we run the risk of students getting off task more or falling behind too much if their pace is really really slow. I think baby steps in incorporating this into classrooms are what will eventually get us to what Khan had in mind where each student in a class has a personalized experience and finds joy and fulfillment in their schooling.
I had never used Google Classroom before and I actually really liked it! It is very straight forward and easy to use on both sides- as a student and as a teacher. I like how customizable it is and how easy it was for me to create a quiz to go along with my video I had selected for my class to watch. I also like how the main page allows students to see both posted assignments and messages from the teacher so they do not fall behind on anything and are up to date with all of my announcements. I have not yet come across anything I have really disliked since using it, but perhaps as I continue to experiment with all that Google Classroom has to offer I will see more opportunities to improve it as well as get to know what else it has to offer.

I agree that Khan's vision was really a good one because the students are the ones being held more responsible of their own learning, but just like you, I also feel worried on a larger scale because they might not have the guidance and help they need because of the number of students who need assistance. I am not not familiar with Google Classroom as well because I have not used it before but I was glad that it was pretty easy to set up.
Yeah, everything takes time so no worries that even you haven't used Google Classroom before. Yet, this class may expand your learning opportunity to recognize technology and digital platforms in learning or teaching. I believe all these platforms will be absolutely helpful no matter your daily or academic life. Actually, Google Classroom is user-friendly, customizable, and adjustable so many teachers like using it in their teachings.
